CassionatoLimited stock now in Australia
|
Cassionato has been very successful in international show jumping competitions with top ten placings at the CSI5*shows in Doha, St Tropez and Cascais.
The breeding of this stallion is a blend of the best both German and French bloodlines can offer. His sire Cassini I was very successful, ridden by Bo Kristoffersen, he qualified for the Bundeschampionat with seven wins as well as placings in the Grand Prix of Münster, Kiel, Neumünster and Hamburg. They were also members of the winning Danish Nations Cup team in Helsinki and represented Denmark at the European Championships.
Other notable offspring by Cassini I include the 2006 WEG champion Cumano who was ridden by Jos Lansink as well as Eurocommerce Berlin who has had many international successes with Gerco Schröder.
Cassini I himself is by the great Capitol who was 2nd on the WBFSH standings in 1999, and leading sire in 2000 and 2001. His progeny include Carthago, Cento and possibly most importantly Indoctro, who was licensed in Holland and has had a great impact on the Dutch breeding.
On the dam side Cassionato is out of the mare Perle Holstein who was awarded the Bezirksprämie and is herself by the brilliant Selle Francais stallion Quidam de Revel who helped France win team bronze at the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games, was sixth individually at the European Championships in La Baule in 1991 and had countless Grand Prix andNations Cups success.
His best-known progeny include Dollar de la Pierre, Nabab de Reve and Giudam, all top class international show jumpers who competed at the highest level.
He himself is a descendant of the outstandingly successful Alme-Jalisco B line. Jalisco B represented Portugal at the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games and his most notable offspring include Quito de Baussy who was World and European champion in 1990 and 1991 under Eric Navet and Dollar du Murier who won team gold and individual silver at the World Equestrian Games in Jerez de la Frontera in 2002.
Quidam de Revel’s dam, Dirka was also an international winner under Nelson Pessoa and was a ¾ sister to the French stallion Uriel.
There is more French blood in the mare’s breeding as her dam Texas is out of Carneval who is himself a son of the famous Cor de la Bryere whose influence in the breeding of modern show jumpers is still very visible today and who is particularly popular when used on the dam side as his offspring tend to show very good Bascule over a fence.
This combination of excellent bloodlines makes Cassionato an obvious choice for breeders looking to add quality to their mares and to produce careful and correct horses showing lightness and excellent technique over a fence.

Discipline: Show Jumping
Height: 16.1hh Breed: Westphalian Colour: Bay Year of Birth: 2005 Comme Il Faut possesses the dream pedigree: by the legendary Cornet Obolensky, out of the best jumping mare in history, Ratina Z. In sport, he has been everything promised; his technique, power and scope are exceptional. Of the seven stallions in the first three generations of Comme Il Faut’s pedigree, six of them competed at grand prix themselves.
Comme Il Faut was second in the World Championship for five-year-olds at Lanaken in 2010. From the beginning, he stallion demonstrated his outstanding qualities on the international stage. At the start of his career he jumped in young horse classes, but after only one season he was jumping at grand prix.
|
In 2013 and 2014, he achieved good results in 7 & 8-year-old classes, then two seconds in 2014 at Paderborn CSI3*, and in the grand prix at Dortmund CSI3*. Comme Il Faut already has several licensed sons including Comilfo Plus Z, who was 5th in the 6-year-old World Championships at Lanaken with Christian Ahlmann. Comme Il Faut is best suited to a tall mare, but his offspring all inherit his ability and power.

Under Marc Van Dijck the French Stallion has showed that he is a powerful jumping horse. When you consider the mere number of his breeding services, he produces an above average number of excellent jumping horses. From his early breeding seasons we have Grand Prix horses such as Molly Ashes Vicomte D, Gregory Wathletts Willem, Wonder Boy and Je T’aime Flamenco, all performing at maximum level, considering their age.
His dam, Quansie Van De Halhoeve, competed and won at 1.50 level in Belgium. Her sire is the great German stallion Landetto, who is by Landgraf, who is by Lady Killer, giving the dam a great and famous jumping blood line. Landetto’s offspring include Undercover Agent and Utah Van Epicon, whilst Landgraf’s include Burgraf and Libero. Uniquely though his dams blood line, Je Tamie Flamenco is closely related to great sprinters such as Westworld and Try My Best from the USA
His grand sire Le Tot De Semilly carries proven jumping genes. His sire Grand Veneur is one of the most influential sires of his time. Le Tot De Semilly, won or was placed in 22 International classes between 1988 and ‘91. He was part of the Gold Medal winning team at the European Young Riders Championship in Millstreet, Ireland, being place fourth individually. In 1991 he won €183,000 in prize money. Le Tot De Semilly has produced offspring who’s names continue to stand out in the sport such as Everest Ashley, Itot Du Chateau, Item De Quintin, Ideal De Prissey, Diamant De Semilly and Fidji De Fleury to name but a few.
Je Taime Flamenco’s looks temperament and ability make him an ideal choice for any breeder, intent on producing world class jumping horse for the future. 2014 sees a number of impressive 5 and 6 year olds by Je T’aime, make their debut including Pewit Oitimo with Billy.
